These discount plans are great because they provide savings on everything from Braces, Gum surgery, Endodontics, and child dentistry. If seems that if you do not have a traditional insurance plan through your employer or work, you just simple do not have any type of coverage and you are stuck paying full price. I tried to get a traditional individual dental insurance and I was running up against brick walls with the sign-up process and I was told I’d likely have to wait a year to get the plan activated. I was also able to switch plans once to a plan with lower fees on the root canal I needed. I wanted a dentist that was affordable and of good quality. You only have one set of teeth and I didn’t want them negatively affected.
