The provider list was very comprehensive in my area and there were providers within 3 miles of my house and work. If seems that if you do not have a traditional insurance plan through your employer or work, you just simple do not have any type of coverage and you are stuck paying full price. Unless you have a discount dental program which will allow you to save a percentage off what you would normally pay for your dental care services. But what I found was that looking online was be far the superior method of hunting down a good dentist in my area. When looking for a new provider, I found myself going through the yellow pages looking for someone near my house that I could start visiting.
