I wanted a dentist that was affordable and of good quality. You only have one set of teeth and I didn’t want them negatively affected. I tried to get a traditional individual dental insurance and I was running up against brick walls with the sign-up process and I was told I’d likely have to wait a year to get the plan activated. The provider list was very comprehensive in my area and there were providers within 3 miles of my house and work. Without these plans, you are stuck paying ridiculous amount of money every time you visit regardless of what you are having done. Unless you have a discount dental program which will allow you to save a percentage off what you would normally pay for your dental care services.
