I was also able to switch plans once to a plan with lower fees on the root canal I needed. The provider list was very comprehensive in my area and there were providers within 3 miles of my house and work. If seems that if you do not have a traditional insurance plan through your employer or work, you just simple do not have any type of coverage and you are stuck paying full price. I urge you to investigate discount plans because they are the wave of the future when it comes to saving money at the dentist. I tried to get a traditional individual dental insurance and I was running up against brick walls with the sign-up process and I was told I�d likely have to wait a year to get the plan activated.
